The specialty gift items in the store include books, candles, incense, aromatherapy products, cards,handcrafted sterling silver jewelry, wire wrapped stones, gems, crystals and rocks, tarot and runes, Zen gardens, herbs, imported items from around the Planet, music to soothe the soul and so much more.


Spiritual readings are available through Back Door to the Moon. Monthly gatherings for group readings are usually the last Friday of the month here at the shop beginning at 7:00 pm. The fee is $25 per person .Each month we feature guest mediums.Reservations are a must!!! Call ahead to reserve your spot.

Private Spiritual readings as well as group readings are available. Private sessions may be done by phone or here at the shop. Group readings may be done in your home or here . Private readings are $75 a session which usually takes an hour or half hour sessions are available for $40. Group readings are $35 per person with a minimum of five people.

Back Door serves complimentary tea daily. Take a break, sit for a spell and enjoy your tea while relaxing in an overstuffed chair and sipping your tea. You deserve it.

Back Door is honored to have local artisans sell their wares! Consignment pieces are a big part of the retail shop.

Welcome to Back Door to the Moon's website! I hope you visit often.
I am here to tell you a little bit about myself.. I'm Sandi, the caretaker of Back Door to the Moon. . Back Door to the Moon was a vision I had many years ago…. My vision of Back Door became a realty in the late 90's and continues to humble me each day with its gifts. Back Door is a growing community of loving, Spiritual folks, who each play an important part in my life. I am truly blessed with the support from all of you. Each day a new face, a new story and a continuous stream of seasoned patrons who are now part of the family. What a gift!

Another gift I have been blessed with is the ability to allow Spirit to come through me to you! Cool! There's always a message to be heard. I am a Registered Spiritual Counselor with the State of Maine and am available for private sessions for counseling as well as Spiritual readings. Most sessions are $75.00 per session; which include either a phone consultation, or an in house appointment. I do not consult via email…but thanks for asking!

Yet another gift has come my way and I now am a Notary Public, also with the State of Maine and can perform a wedding of your choice. From traditional to handfastings. The fee is negotiable. Documentation fees are free. Do have a picture id with you…thanks.

I also love to play with the tuning forks. Back Door offers classes and private sessions with the tuning forks. The prices of the classes vary.

There are so many things I would like to tell you about Back Door to the Moon, yet, the best thing to do is come in for a cup of tea and we'll talk.
